The Sutton is a sleeveless shirt-dress made from 100% cotton denim, true to size. It has a collar, a full button-front placket, and side pockets. The back side seams are partially elasticated, around three-quarters of the way, not reaching the button stand, giving the dress shape and definition without pulling it into a fitted or peplum silhouette. The last button carries the signature red thread. It's made in Cape Town, South Africa, by a small all-female team, in a limited run.

The elastication runs partway along the back side seams, stopping short of the button stand, so it shapes rather than clings. It's not fitted, and it's not meant to be worn tucked in or belted to force a waistline that's already built in.
